Mau Mau Rebellion, The Emergency in Kenya 1952-1956


After the end of WWII, the second Labour Government embarked on a program of managed decline for Great Britain. This started an indecent rush to abandon the Empire. Often described as the Mau Mau Rebellion, this saw Kenya engulfed in civil war as the Kikuyu sought to take over at the expense of other tribes and the Asian community – Strongly Recommended.

Budapest Airport’s growing Ukrainian union


Ukraine International Airlines, the Eastern European country’s flag carrier, yesterday launched its first operation from Budapest Airport with its daily link to Kiev Boryspil. Welcoming the inaugural flight with a ceremonial water arch and celebratory cake, Budapest’s latest airline partner unites the Hungarian gateway with Ukraine’s largest airport once again, having not served Boryspil since 2012.
