Oulu, Finland, April 13, 2018 – Bittium Wireless Ltd, a subsidiary of Bittium Corporation has received a purchase order from the Finnish Defence Forces for products included in the Software Defined Radio based Bittium Tactical Wireless IP Network™ (TAC WIN) system, which is meant for tactical communications. The value of the purchase order is EUR 14.3 million (excl. VAT). The purchase order does not change Bittium’s financial outlook for the year 2018, published on February 22, 2018 in Bittium Corporation’s Financial Statement Bulletin 2017.

VLM Airlines ventures into Cologne Bonn

Cologne Bonn Airport has confirmed another new carrier will join its roll call later this summer, when Belgian regional operator VLM Airlines commences two new routes to Rostock and Antwerp from the German gateway. Planned to start on 4 June, both services will be operated five times weekly (every day except Wednesdays and Fridays) using the airline’s fleet of 50-seat Fokker 50s on the 192-kilometre international and 487-kilometre domestic sectors.

Sikorsky’s CH-53K Heavy Lift Helicopter Makes Historic First Flight in Germany

HOLZDORF, Germany, April 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) company, and the U.S. Marine Corps’ CH-53K heavy lift helicopter reached another historic first. The CH-53K, which recently arrived in Germany, flew its first flight on foreign soil at Holzdorf Air Base, Germany.
